MEMBERSHIP
WHO CAN BECOME A MEMBER?
Membership is open to anyone employed in work of a legal nature, including:

legal secretaries
-
legal assistants and paralegals
-
support staff working in the legal services industry, such as receptionists and file clerks
-
court personnel
-
law librarians and law office administrators
-
attorneys and/or judges
-
students who intend to enter the legal profession in some capacity and are attending college or some other form of higher education on a full-time basis
-
any person employed in the court, trust department of banks or trust companies, or in any public or private institution, including the public offices of the United States government, states, cities, counties or municipalities
-
Full membership or associate membership is available to educators, judges and attorneys.
Affiliate membership is also available to businesses providing specific support services to the legal services industry.
Members of other NALS chapters may also become secondary members of this chapter, but may only retain voting rights in their home chapter.
